Hello my fellow Raphaelites, I didn’t realize it growing up, but I can safely look back and attribute most of my personality, ethics and resilience to St. Raphael’s and the amazing environment and mentors I had there. I graduated in 1991 from school. Yes, I am an oldie! It was a safe haven growing up, with loads of fun and tons of discipline. All the structure that I was lovingly provided is greatly responsible for the way I am right now. I had the opportunity to be the House Captain (Orange House), which was a great exercise in learning leadership skills. (We were awarded the Best House in 1990-91 session, yay!) After St. Raphael’s, I went on to pursue and complete a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Pune university, followed by a Masters in Business Administration (Finance) from our good old IMS in Indore. After working in Mumbai as a financial analyst for a bit, I moved to United States and back to being a techie. 7 years and 2 off-springs later, I moved back to India and made a home in Gurgaon, where I still am. I have evolved from being a programmer to management to eventually heading a software company in India to an entrepreneur, while also being an exhibited artist, an avid traveler, and a rally driver. Currently, I am on a short sabbatical from corporate life and making the best of the lockdown. It has been an interesting ride. My most profound realization is that the 14 years of being well-molded at St. Raphael’s gave me the best tools and attitude to go out there and follow all my dreams, to have integrity and empathy while doing it. I am truly grateful for our alma mater!
" I have spend the most amazing 14 years of my life in St Raphael's. 2014- The year that i graduated marked the beginning of something great for me which i feel blessed that i was prepared to face the real life out there. I am an Actor, fashion designer, model and a Miss India title holder, which was all possible only because of the person i became. The motto of our school "LOVING SERVICE" was embedded in me and it helped me to share that love with everyone i met in my journey. We didn't realise back in school for all the activities involved and most important the moral science classes. It shaped every raphaelite into their best versions. I owe it to all the teachers for shaping me in the best possible way , to my Alma Matter!"
“My journey with St. Raphael’s ended in year 2010. It was a chapter of my life where I have learnt so many lessons that can never be taught by books. After leaving St. Raphael’s I shifted to a new city Pune and embarked my journey… but I never lacked the self-confidence within me because my Alma matter gave me abundance of it ... that’s how I faced the every obstacles in my life and earned my Company Secretary(C.S) Degree. I am currently working as Assistant Company Secretary with renowned FMCG CO. “Gokul Agro Resources Ltd, Ahmedabad” and also pursuing my L.L.B Degree in Ahmedabad. The Morales and Principles which I learnt here ... have helped me shape my personality and professionalism. When I joined this school I faced many difficulties in coping up with my studies but the teachers were very supportive and helped me to overcome it. I was also the part of Volleyball Team and I must say that was the golden period of my life. Being a Raphaelite … representing the school in competitions and winning trophies for our school was such an honor. I feel myself to be very privileged to be part of Raphaelites …also its grateful to have St. Raphael’s as the stepping stone of my life. Thanks to all my teachers and Alma Matter for bringing out the best within me. Thank You"
<strong>Hi there, this is Aummul. I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2019 and am currently pursuing a career in Silicon Valley. My Alma Mater St Raphael’s has contributed substantially to giving me the depths and shaping me in million ways. For twelve long years, till I bid adieu in 2011, the institute had been filling me up with oils and wells of confidence, perseverance, resilience, and creativity that continues to ignite my soul today.</strong> <strong>St. Raphael’s has always been known for its rigorous academic curriculum, which helped build my mental muscle for learning and setting up high standards for myself. This muscle helped me shine through the challenging graduate coursework at one of the world’s best public research universities. With hard work and perseverance whose seeds were sown into me right in my school, I was able to conduct quality research projects and eventually land a prestigious job in the United States.</strong> <strong>Moreover, along with scholastic excellence, the school conducts a myriad of extra-curricular events and competitions that gave me an expedient platform to hone my literary and public speaking skills and carve out a niche for myself. During my journey at Raphael’s, I made friends belonging to a gamut of socio-economic and religious backgrounds which is representative of the diverse demographics of the school. The campus air upholds unity, love, and respect for all which broadened my perspectives in life. The tradition of ‘manual work’ where we cleaned the classroom and premises ourselves built the foundation of self-reliance and cleanliness. Furthermore, the school not only strengthen me to achieve my goals by making me punctual and disciplined but also instilled the sense of giving back to the society early on. Loving service, the motto of our school, was deep-rooted and we were encouraged to donate a portion of our pocket money to the collective monthly charity box called ‘piggy bank’, a legacy I still follow.</strong> <strong>There are countless values that I have impersonated from the exceptional teachers that have served the school for decades. I would be forever grateful and in debt to their loving guidance and the nurturing environment of St. Raphael’s for my wholesome growth.</strong>
<strong>"This is Paridhi Gupta. I passed from St. Raphaels H.S. School in the year 2015 after being a part of the Raphaelite family for 14 years. I cleared my Chartered Accountancy exams in August 2019, all in one go. I am currently working as a Management Trainee with Vedanta Resources Limited (Gurgaon). What I am today and what I will be, I owe it all to my alma matter and my teachers who have always guided me through every question that arose in my mind and every decision I had to take as a teenager. The strictness, the discipline, the classes, coming to school regularly and on time, it all seemed a bit too much during school times and I could not understand back then how missing a single class can change things for me, but then it was never about that lecture or that single class I missed, it was about inculcating those values, those teachings being given to us, having regularity in the things we do and learning the importance of a well organised life. What we learn is not just from those course books that are universally printed, but those ideals that are implicated on us by our teachers and the way to do those things that eventually everyone else is also doing. Apart from our curriculum, we have been taught to always help others in need, do whatever least we can do for them. I would say I still abide by those teachings in whatever small ways I am able to. I’m a proud Raphaelite and will shine among the others wherever I go."</strong>
<strong>"I belong to a family where studying in St.Raphael’s is an honour and tradition...following the footsteps of my elders I completed my schooling in the year 2007 from St.Raphael’s and left my campus with eyes full of dreams .. heart full of memories and mind full of confidence to win ..then pursued my degree in Fashion Design from SNDT university ..thereafter haven’t turned back ..Taking step by step everyday I come a little more closer to my goal..and this never ending patience and my mental strength comes from the</strong> <strong>the 5c’s conscience, character, compassion, commitment and competence which my alma matter has embibed in me..Working in Bollywood industry for an outsider can be very difficult at times but the positive attitude cultivated by my teachers have been my biggest strengths against all odds..I have worked with Production houses like Yashraj productions / Foxstar productions/Balaji productions etc. and actors like Mr.Amitabh Bachchan, Mr.Aamir Khan , Mr.Sanjay Dutt , Ms. Priyanka Chopra,Ms.katrina Kaif and so many big names but what keeps me still grounded and connected to my origin are the moral values I learnt from my school ..</strong> <strong>.. ‘When educating the minds of our youths ..we must not forget to educate their hearts’-Dalai lama</strong> <strong>I remember having Moral science as a compulsory subject in my syllabus.. we didn’t knew the importance back then but what it has made each one of us is impeccable..I was also an active member of the NSS during school times so very well understand the importance of respecting people coming from all classes of life and treating everyone equally.. which I preach as a designer..</strong> <strong>I thank my alma matter for all the blessings showered and all the lessons learnt. Thank you"</strong>
<strong>"I graduated from my Alma matter in the year 2016, where I have spend the most splendid 11 years of my life. My school has helped me inculcate learnings and shaped my personality. It made me ready to face the world differently and can dream and fulfil whatever I wish for.</strong> <strong>I was also a part of NSS which has moulded me and helped me to see the different side of the society and how you can make the difference you want to see. As a student I was always determined to pursue my graduation in Hotel Management from one of the best college in the country and was fortunate enough to pursue the same from IHM Aurangabad, a Taj affiliated college.</strong> <strong>While pursuing my course and the profession I learned that my values and knowledge from the school have played a key role, specially my learnings from NSS.</strong> <strong>On my college campus convocation,I was received awards for humanity and also for being genuine which was truly because of my ethics and values from my school journey.</strong> <strong>I am currently working with ITC Hotels in sales and marketing and for that I owe a lot to my alma mater."</strong> <strong>Thank you so much.</strong>
"2014 - the year that marked the end of my 13 years long journey at St. Raphael's, but it wasn't the end. For the skills and the values that I absorbed from my alma mater are helping me fight every challenge in my life till date. I have hosted various public events in the past few years which would not have been possible without the various opportunities that being a Raphalite landed me with, like debate competitions, elocution competitions etc. I'm currently working as an Investment Banking Associate, the road to which was not a cake walk but thanks to Raphael's for shaping my strong fundamentals and making me believe that there is always a silver lining and hard work never goes in vain. Above all, thank you for making me a better human being and imbibing the value of "loving service" so deeply. Indeed I'm proud to be a Raphaelite and needless to say that all the teachers hold a very special place in my life and heart"
<strong>"I got a B.Com (Hons.) from DU and then a degree in Chartered Accountancy. Presently I serve as a partner with a construction firm.</strong><strong>St. Raphael‘s grounded me thoroughly, in both scholastic and co-curricular activities, providing a solid foundation for future skill-building.</strong> <strong>Being the head girl,I was given a firm grounding in leadership, public speaking, event management and other important life skills.</strong><strong>My creativity was ignited through so many projects and various cultural events.</strong> <strong>I cannot possibly thank my school enough nor can I sufficiently express my emotions of immense gratitude for moulding me into a morally strong and confident person.</strong><strong>I am what I am purely because of the virtues and values inculcated by my esteemed and revered teachers. My salutations and deep prostrations to all my teachers.</strong> <strong>Wherever I may be, I shall always remain a proud and committed flag-bearer for my beloved St. Raphael’s School."</strong>
" I graduated from St. Raphael's in the year 2016. Fourteen years of being a Raphaelite gave me some of my most cherished memories. At Raphael's not only did I get the opportunity to avail the best education, but it also honed me for the future by inculcating in me valuable character building principles like discipline, work-ethic, time management and importance of holistic growth. It gave the confidence to be who I am. "Beneath your wings we ever be secure" I've met some of my best friends here, and been taught by some of my favorite teachers. It helped me build a path for my professional as well as personal life. I'm currently in my final year of perusing my degree in B. A. LLB from UPES, Dehradun and I hope to keep the spirit of my Alma Mater true wherever I may be. "
